Class Descriptions

20/20/20 - This class incorporates 20 minutes each of cardio, weights, and abs.

80's RIDE- Hop on a bike and start pedalling!  These classes were designed to inspire & motivate us to take up the challenge to bring health and fitness to every lifestyle, at a self-directed pace with some 80's music favorites.
ABS PLUS - This 15 or 30 minute definition class concentrates on muscle conditioning for abdominals & upper body.  Various forms of resistance training props will be included such as bands, resistance balls, free weights & body bars.

ABSOLUTION
- 30 minute class designed to tone & strengthen the midsection.

BELLYDANCE FUNK
-
Focus on proper execution, posture, flexibility, muscle memory and strengthening. Head to toe Belly Dance movements will be applied according to each clients ability.

BIATHALON -
This fun class will be held on the 1st Tuesday of each month.  Combining the best of both worlds, this class offers a variety of hard-core cardio training in our group fitness studio with an intense indoor cycling challenge in our indoor cycling studio.  A creative cross-training approach in-group fitness to help you get in the best shape of your life.

BODY DEFINITIONS -
A group strength conditioning class incorporating intensive resistance training using steps, free weights & body bars.  This optimum workout is designed to tone, cut & sculpt, while focusing on muscular strength & overall flexibility.

BODY SCULPT
- Body conditioning workout using the body bar and dumbbells.

BODYLINES –
Combining mat and standing pilates exercises with Latin dance movements to create a flowing and rhythmical workout experience.  Helps increase core strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and better posture.  This class will be held on the second Tuesday of each month @ 5:30 PM (7/13, 8/10 & 9/14).

BOOT CAMP
- This intense group training class utilizing athletic skills and drills, plyometrics and discipline to take your body through the ultimate test of fitness.  Let our drill sergeant command you through this challenging workout including multi-intensity aerobics, sprints, circuits, push-ups, sit-ups, jump-rope and weight training. This class will use powerful motivational tactics, which will help you “Be All That You Can Be!”

BOSU
- A progressive total body workout on the BOSU Ball.  This workout deals with the entire body while focusing on core muscles and increased balance.  This is an introductory class for beginners and people looking for a new and innovative workout.

BOSU SCULPT
- A progressive total body workout on the BOSU focusing on core muscles and increasing balance.

CARDIO CRAZE
- Fun cardio moves with high and low impact movements.

CARDIO BOX
- Non contact class teaching boxing punches & kicks while building muscle and burning calories.


CARDIO PUMP -
Incorporating a wide variety of training methods including step, interval training, hi/lo, kickboxing & weight training will be combined in this power packed hour.  Specific Circuits may also be incorporated.  The format of this class will change weekly to challenge your body with cross training techniques.

CARDIO SCULPT
- Fast paced sculpt to burn added calories while using body bars and dumbbells.

CORE DYNAMICS (ON THE BALL) -
Discover a completely new approach to overall core strength training in this new & exciting 15 Minute class.  Learn proper stabilization techniques and progressive resistance that influences overall body alignment using a resist-a-ball.

CORE & MORE
- Great workout focusing on the core but also the entire body to increase strength with weights, fit balls and more.

CORRECTIVE STABILIZATION -
Take your workout to a different level & experience exercises that will help you be more efficient in your day-to-day tasks.  This class mixes cardiovascular endurance with core training, balance, agility, speed & strength.

CHISEL - Improve strength using body bars, dumbbells, BOSU balls and more.

FLIRTY GIRL FITNESS™ - “THE BOOTY BEAT WORKOUT”
- This is a great class for anyone looking to get “FIT TO STRIP!”  This fat burning dance class will get your heart and hips pumping.  We take our moves straight from the hottest videos & coolest dance floors and incorporate them into a fat burning, super-fun routine.  This class takes plain old aerobics to a whole new level.

HARD CORE
- A 30 minute, powerful core/strength training class to define your entire body using Bosu, balls, bodybars & bands.

HIP HOP
- Easy to follow class choreographed to create a high energy cardio dance workout.

JUS’ BUNS
- 30 minutes of nonstop, hit it hard, below the belt exercises to tone & strengthen the legs & gluteus.

KICKBOX FUSION/ SPARTAN TRAINING - After an intense comprehensive warm-up, this 90 minute class will include specific kickboxing & punching combinations combined with isolated strengthening exercises.  A variety of equipment may be used such as free weights, medicine balls, flex-a-balls, jump rope, tubing, target pads & body bars.  Circuits are specifically designed to prepare you for enhanced kickboxing performance.  By incorporating both cardio & strength training, you will get a complete workout by targeting all the major muscle groups.  If you’re looking to challenge your body, this class was designed for you!  An extra 30 minutes are added to this workout with intense ‘OVER THE TOP’ drills that individually challenge you to push your own limits of physical excellence.

KICKBOXING - High energy kicks and punches to give you the ultimate body!  Combination of martial arts, boxing, and cardiovascular training.

H.M.T.
- Hardcore Muscle Training...  This class is a different kind of workout.  Be ready to sweat, increase strength, flexibility & endurance.


INDOOR CYCLING -
Led by a certified indoor cycling instructor, classes combine a foundation of basic cycling movements with motivational coaching techniques, breathing awareness and heart rate training.

KICK IT
- Simple but intense workout incorporating boxing punches & kicks.

MAT PILATES
- This class stretches all the major muscle groups to maintain flexibility, build strength, lengthen the muscles and help reduce injuries. Emphasizes strong core stability. Based on the studies of Joseph Pilates.  This class may include the use of resistance balls and bands and free weights.

ON THE BALL - Unique workout methods using the ball to strengthen core muscles and increase balance.

SCULPT EXPRESS
- 30 minute workout conditioning the entire body.


SPECIALTY FITNESS SERIES
- Each week, the class will be a new & unique class such as PE 101, Cardio Strip Tease, Funky Kick box & more. The class schedule for the month will be posted on the group fitness studio # 1 door. If you're looking to try some new & exciting classes, join us.

SPINNING

STEP, KICK & JAB -
Incorporating step aerobics with cardio kick-boxing (including jabs, blocks, hooks, & kicks) & intensive resistance training using various equipment such as glides, medicine balls, resist balls, weights and more. This class was designed to provide a total body workout!. A Workout with a Punch!

STRIKE FORCE - This intense class is a mixture of boxing, kick-boxing, & self-defense techniques.  This class delivers aggressive kicks, controlled jabs & punches with cardiovascular boxing drills.  Have Fun - Get Fit - Be Your Own Body Guard!

TOTAL FIT
- Great workout to get it done all in one hour.  Great cardio & toning class.

TOUGH ENOUGH
- Need a challenge?  This is the class to take!  This class will push your endurance to the next level.


TREKKING
- This 40 minute innovative high-level treadmill class, raising the intensity & challenge for runners but is also a workout suited for walkers.  Either which way, trekking provides an interval workout & helps alleviate boredom on the treadmill.

UBMC CAMP
– YOU BURN MASSIVE CALORIES!  This Total body conditioning class builds strength, endurance & coordination.  This class incorporates cardio & strength circuits.

VERSA TRAINING -
Maximize your time, efforts & results with interval training.  In one powerful hour, alternate between periods of high intensity, where you will “burst your energy” and periods of recovery, where you will “boost your energy.”  This class utilizes aerobic, anaerobic, power & strength.

WAKE UP CALL - This class is designed to work every muscle head-to-toe in a fun and challenging way.  By focusing on the "core" you will gain overall strength, balance and stabilization.  This class will include corrective exercises as well as core and joint stability.  Class is designed using exercises that uses your own body weight, weights and stability balls.

YOGA - Experience the most complete form of conditioning - A 60-minute class exploring various postures along with breath awareness and meditation.  It is soft on the joints yet effective for toning and relaxation.

YOGILATES
- Experience the combination of pilates and yoga in this mind-body class.  Props may be used such as balls, pilates rings and yoga straps.

ZUMBA
- A new & exciting Latin inspired dance and toning class.  Zumba™ is an innovative muscle training program with the addition of light hand held weights & Zumba™ sticks.  Over time, this challenging workout helps in building coordination & muscle endurance.  This program is assured to provide the participant with a safe & effective, re-defining total body workout!  Zumba ™ is fun, different, challenging & effective.  For more info, please click here.
